Who We Are

OAC is a private facility that provides diagnostic assessments and consultation services for children and youth experiencing a wide range of challenges and differences that may include: learning and academic difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, developmental disability and social emotional or behavioural difficulties, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, as well as giftedness. Our assessments support tailored intervention by pinpointing areas of challenge and providing recommendations to improve functioning across areas. Diagnostic assessment can also facilitate access to services in a variety of educational and community settings.

Please note that we are not typically accepting referrals for adult Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment or mental health assessments at this time.  Adults seeking those types of services are encouraged to speak with their family physician about a referral to an adult psychiatrist or may contact their local mental health centre (e.g., see www.healthlinkbc.ca or call 310-6789 for more information).
