OAC is a private facility that offers a wide range of psychological assessment and diagnostic services for children and youth. We work with other professionals in the community, including family physicians, pediatricians, psychiatrists, child development centers, government ministries, and school personnel, to provide comprehensive assessment services and coordinated intervention.
Take a look at our frequently asked questions for answers to common questions including; ‘Do I need a doctor’s referral?’ or ‘How long does an assessment take?’ or ‘Will my insurance cover the costs?’.
Please note that we are not typically accepting referrals for adult Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment or mental health assessments at this time. Adults seeking those types of services are encouraged to speak with their family physician about a referral to an adult psychiatrist or may contact their local mental health centre (e.g., see www.healthlinkbc.ca or call 310-6789 for more information).
